Designed to keep the tender or jet ski a safe distance from the yacht, Shipyard Supply Co tender whips are built to stand up to the rigours of daily use on board. Whip poles are available in GRP or carbon with lengths to suit all sizes of tenders.
With a stainless-steel roller tip and cleat and high gloss finish, our GRP tender whips are manufactured to the highest standards so that they look great as well as being a reliable part of the deck setup. All our whips come in two sections for ease of transport and storage.
GRP whips come in two standard sizes for tenders weighing up to 15,875 kg.
Revolutionary 6.0m carbon tender whips – taking the original concept of a tender whip and elevating it to another level. Manufactured from multi-directional hollow carbon fibre tubes, the whip line is run internally through the whip with stainless steel ferrules at the entry and exit points to protect the clear coat finish. A Spinlock PXR cleat securely holds the line and a mesh line storage bag is provided to maintain the sleek minimalist design.
Carbon tender whips are designed with larger and heavier tenders in mind, capable of being used with tenders up to 20,000kg. A carbon tender whip will give you the peace of mind that even the heaviest tenders will be kept a safe distance from the mothership whilst offering superior aesthetics.
All carbon tender whips come in a 2-part construction for easy storage and transportation and are pre-rigged with black whip lines. The standard finish is a clear coat, but custom painting and clear coat tints are available to match the yacht’s colour scheme.
Mooring whip kits are available with all the components needed for immediate set up.
What’s in the kit?
The flush stainless-steel bases eliminate tripping or catching of lines on board and can be installed on side decks, swim platforms or rub rails, depending on the preferred location of the tender. Breast and spring lines hold the tender in place and the leverage created by the bending of the mooring whip pole keeps the tender clear of the side of the yacht or swim platform.
